The only pair of socks I knit were the Monkeys because I thought they were beautiful and they seemed like a great pattern to start with since so many people knit them! I love your version!Marysehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05150165052713846615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6029198622477862632.post-78863177208712746992010-12-27T15:20:23.154+02:002010-12-27T15:20:23.154+02:00They're beautiful! They're pretty, they are free, they knit up relatively quickly, but I don't get that, "Wow, this is better than any other sock pattern" feeling either.Battyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03892116045581715793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6029198622477862632.post-35280579908092172332010-12-26T15:04:18.347+02:002010-12-26T15:04:18.347+02:00I love these! I've wanted to try the Monkey pattern for ages but I seem to get side-tracked into other patterns (doing Falling Tears just now).<br />Enjoy wearing them and the next pair might be more to your liking.Gisellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109646912314640079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6029198622477862632.post-71639800591247595222010-12-13T02:46:15.502+02:002010-12-13T02:46:15.502+02:00With most patterns I prefer as little variegation ...With most patterns I prefer as little variegation as possible, but with this one slightly more seems to be OK. But I do hate pooling, too.Helenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17282851856490380354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6029198622477862632.post-41437206101273895372010-12-12T15:57:20.024+02:002010-12-12T15:57:20.024+02:00I think the pattern looks very nice with the yarn ...I think the pattern looks very nice with the yarn you chose - I love that color green. I haven't knit the Monkey socks yet, but tried to with some Hazel Knits yarn a couple of months ago. It pooled like crazy! Maybe a semi-solid (like you chose) is what I should try next with the pattern.Kelly-annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13677514807553033155noreply@blogger.com
