Lintilla

Lintilla

A fun pattern from Martina Behm that allowed me to use up most of the Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin yarn I had left. Despite the general hype about Wollmeise, I'm still not a huge fan. Sure, the colors are vibrant, but the yarn, the second time around, is still too splitty for my taste, and keeps twisting on itself. I have other yarns in this weight category I like better, I don't think I will be buying more of this.

On a finished project, I have no complaints about the yarn, it's only about the knitting experience. This shawlette should be able to make itself useful as a fall scarf, for which there is plenty need at the moment.

  1. This looks great though -- I saw a progress shot of yours and am using your notes of not picking up the wraps with some leftover Wollmeise lace yarn. My "ruffles" are just about flat though , but that is what I want. Love your color!

  3. The ruffles on my Lintilla can look both flat and ruffly depending on how the shawl is laid out. I think the way you block it will also affect their look.

  4. Oooh, lovely! I love love love green and this is just lovely green. The pattern looks simple but nice. Maybe, if I did that, I'd make it larger because I am quite tall myself and I've noticed many scarf patterns to be bit small for me. I haven't met Wollmeise so far but thanks for your notice that it splits and I do not like yarn to do that... so the color is a beauty but I haven't lost anything having not met the yarn :)
